Billing

How billing works

01

A prepaid balance

You top up your account, and every message is paid from its balance. The console shows the balance, each top-up and each charge to four decimals, as this page does.

02

Charged when the operator accepts

At the prices of this list, a message is charged when the operator's network accepts it and answers with its message ID; a written agreement may bill you on delivery instead. A message refused before that point is not charged.

03

Receipts do not change the charge

A delivery receipt reports what happened after the operator accepted the message. You see it beside the message and in your reports; at the prices of this list, the charge stays as it was.

04

Priced per message part

A long message, or one written with characters outside the GSM alphabet, travels in several parts, and each part is priced as one message. The console counts the parts as you write.

Pricing and billing questions

What is a message part?

An SMS carries a limited number of characters. A longer message, or one with characters outside the GSM alphabet such as Cyrillic letters or emoji, is split into parts that the phone joins back together, and each part is priced as one message.

Do I pay for a message that is not delivered?

At the prices of this list, you pay for a message the operator accepted. What happens after that, such as delivery or expiry while the phone stayed switched off, is reported by the message's delivery receipt and does not change the charge. A written agreement may bill you on delivery instead, as our Terms of Service say. A message the operator refuses is not charged.

Is there a price for larger volumes?

The list shows our standard prices. For a large monthly volume or a dedicated route, talk to sales, and we will quote a price for your traffic.

Can I connect over SMPP?

Yes. We accept SMPP 3.4 binds over plain TCP or TLS, with delivery receipts. An SMPP account is set up by our team: describe your traffic on the contact form.
